AND......the second wedding day!!!
After near constant rain on the Thursday and Friday, we were getting a Plan B organised just in case. However below is the weather that we woke up to on Saturday morning!!
This was the view from the Villa that Bun and I stayed in, just beautiful :)
Cindy, Jacqueline and Bec arrived to help the girls get ready.
Steven didn't seem too nervous at this point :)
The weather co-operated and even warmed up for the ceremony!
These photos are mainly from phones so please excuse any imperfections haha
Our gorgeous girl was so relaxed that it was amazing.
So happy together!
Ashlee and Renae had relaxed as well by this point, they were so nervous beforehand
I had given Allana my camera as I didn't carry my phone or camera all day, I just wanted to soak it all up. I did the same for Josh and Kara's big day too, as I sometimes find that you get too concerned about taking great photos and forget to enjoy the moment.
It will be lovely to see the professional photos as I'm sure Bridget will have done a fantastic job!
I felt sorry for Bridget having to deal with all this rabble!
The rain started again in the evening but luckily it was after the photo session had finished and everyone was inside.
As usual, there's always a couple of crazies in every crowd!!
Patty and Kate had done all the flower arrangements outside and inside, including the bouquets. Patty also made the corrugated iron hearts and the wreaths for the backdrop.
Funny story about the cake......I had loaded the cake layers into the backseat of the car as I intended to assemble it at Lyrup. I then was going back and forth from the house, loading the wedding dress and the shirts and pants. Everyone else had filled their vehicles and left for Lyrup. I came out to find Storm with her head IN THE CAR! I saw her big, drooling head on Bun's jacket and almost touching his shirt so was busily shooing her away. With that, the phone rang and I started to tell Callie that their stupid dog had nearly messed up the shirt and then realised that she had started to maul the top layer of cake!!!!
The air turned blue as I swore madly, thinking that I was going to have to start baking again at that late stage!! Callie was laughing hysterically while I was still swearing LOL.
Anyway by the time I got to Lyrup, everyone knew about the 'cake incident' and Bun had apparently been at the bottle shop when Callie rang to tell him. The story goes that he immediately bought a bottle of brandy on the assumption that I would need a drink! So we ended up with a 3 layer cake instead of 4 layers :))
Anyway everything went brilliantly and everyone seemed to have a great time. It was lovely to catch up with some of the more distant friends and relatives. The venue was fantastic and we would highly recommend it!
We are having a quiet week at the moment, having spent a few days in Adelaide last week. We are starting to think about where we will head soon but I'll be back to update on that when we've made a decision. At the moment we are taking a deep breath and enjoying it after the fun and excitement of the last couple of months.
Cheers
Anne
PS Welcome to the family Steven!!
