Although Bun reckons we haven't been doing much in the last month, life has sure seemed hectic to me!
We went along to the Ski Club to help out when the Speed Ski Racing was on recently. It's always good to hear the loud boats :)
We have been blessed to have babysitting time over the last couple of days, it's lovely to see how Kasiah is growing and there are so many smiles :))
Ben has also enjoyed cuddle time.
Timmy even fed Kasiah and was doing a great job of burping her. Unfortunately she managed to spew a little on him hahahahaha. I think he was ready to go out in sympathy too :)
Kasiah had some more photos taken, the left was at 3 months and the right was at 5 days.
Patch just loves the pool!
The thermomix is so quick to make sorbet, above is raspberry and passionfruit flavour and below is a green apple flavour. I asked Bun to taste the apple one without telling him what it was. The look on his face was priceless because he looked at it and thought it was mashed potato so he was expecting it to be hot!!
I had a great time in Melbourne!! Nay and I landed just before midday. After taking the shuttle bus into the city, we dumped our bags and started walking. We enjoyed the afternoon wandering in and out of shops and then visited the Crown Casino in the evening. On our way back to the hotel at about 10pm, there was a totally naked man walking towards us!! A couple of bouncers were trying to tell him "You can't walk around like that mate!" We wondered if that happens regularly in the city??
Saturday we took the train out to Glen Waverley to attend a stitching workshop (this had been the main reason given for visiting Melbourne lol) . After a great day catching up with friends, a large group went to the restaurant next door for dinner. Late night gossip sessions in the hotel room ended about midnight.
Sunday morning we went back into the city and left bags at the Mantra on Southbank and visited an Art and Craft Market near the Arts Centre and followed that up with the Design Market in the car park under Federation Square.
Once Nay left for the airport on Sunday afternoon, I checked into my room and found the bubbles, chocolates and bath salts for the spa! As Marg had been in Sydney for the weekend and wouldn't be dropped off until about 7.30pm, I put the bubbles in to chill and indulged in a spa. I actually had to turn it off at one stage as the bubbles threatened to overflow :)
By the time Marg got there, it was so cold that we decided to just eat in and got room service.
Last weekend we went to Mildura to watch sidecar racing at the speedway there. It was fantastic racing and we got to catch up with Jodee and Burkey from Tandou as well.
In the last couple of weeks I've been doing some casual work back at JC Irvings Things are quite busy there so I will probably be there a bit over the next few weeks until
Christmas. I've also done 3 days of training with Thermomix, 2 in Adelaide and 1 at Mannum. I have a few demo's and one-on-ones organised over the next couple of weeks. I hope to do a few more before we leave in mid-January so that I get the practice and some feedback.
Bun has even used it now!! He likes to make a 'Boost' juice and I can't believe how easy it is and so much cheaper than buying two at a time :)
Ben had his wisdom teeth out a week ago and came home Tuesday for R&R. He's been having fun playing in the kitchen too. We made choc chip biscuits and chocolate brownies. The next day we made butter, buttermilk scones and fresh bread rolls. Then we made Hungarian Goulash and rice for tea. Today we made crepe mix and then a couple of batches of pizza dough for lunch.
Most of the family have arrived now ready for Josh and Kara's engagement party tonight. However, I think most people are planning to have an afternoon nap :)
That's it for now
Cheers!
