As we left Kalgoorlie, we came across these two big loads!

These photos were taken at the Museum in Kalgoorlie and posted here just for James!  Pretty big Tonka toys!!

There was a free family concert on while we were in Kalgoorlie so we sat for a couple of hours until we got too cold, even the girls 'short' shorts weren't enough to keep Bun there once the cool breeze set in :))

We drove out to Menzies and saw this servo! All along the front and end of it was covered with number plates and signs.

We visited Lake Ballard to see the 'people' sculptures in the lake.  Normally its a salt lake and you can walk around and see it all, but as usual our timing is great and it was wet LOL

So we did some walking in the mud and climbed up a little rock/island for a better view.  I had to be 'persuaded' because I really don't like mud!

We spent an afternoon near Balandje Rock just west of Bullfinch, but with the weather building up, we decided not to stay there overnight because the track out would not be good if it was wet!

We ended up at the caravan park at Mukinbudin!  It had to be the cleanest, tidiest park in the tidiest town we've been in.  Definitely recommend it!!
The next day we went to Pithara, near Dalwallinu, to meet Dot and Ray.  They are lovely people and after spending the afternoon (and evening) talking and eating, we will head back there at the end of the month.  We will be looking after the beautiful big garden, a pool (yay), horse, goat and chooks :))

Next day we left their place and went to the coast, staying a night at Cervantes and then moving on to Jurien Bay.   Jurien Bay is a lovely spot and so we stayed a couple of nights.  We've met some lovely people and one couple from GinGin have offered to let us leave the truck and van at their farm over the Anzac weekend.  So much easier than trying to track down a caravan park near the airport when it will be school holidays AND a long weekend!!

I have been doing some cooking, the apple and apricot muesli slice is going down well for snacks and I crumbed some of the calamari with a 'KFC' mixture found on the thermomix site.  I also crumbed some chicken with it. I liked it but Bun reckoned it was more like the zinger mix :)

One final walk on the beach yesterday morning before leaving Jurien Bay meant we found this lol!

We spent last night at Dongara on the coast and will head towards Geraldton today, hopefully finding a surfboard for Bun!

Cheers
Anne
