Ok, so here are some photos of Kayah Fiona who was born on 16th October!!  She is the spitting image of her big sister Kasiah!  Things are going really well for them all and we cannot wait to get snuggles with the newest member of the family!!

The following photos are nearly all taken at Myroodah Station.

Redman told me that he had never had a birthday cake before.....so of course, we had two hahaha.

Two slow cookers filled with spaghetti bolognese sauce and garlic/herb scrolls x about 28?? Got to love cooking in bulk!

Amy with her 'babies'

On my first day off, I tried to do all the crafty stuff at once but sleep was a necessity so that won!

I finally tried making lemon meringue pie and I think it turned out alright, it was actually my birthday cake for myself!

As one of the chopper pilots came in one afternoon, he saw barra in one of the pools left by the drying Fitzroy River.  He put down and threw a line in and came in with these two 80cm fish.  It fed all of us the following night.

Callie and Steven finally got settlement on their block of land, they're now just waiting on council approval before they can start building.  All the plans are done and colours are picked so it will be 'all go' once the approval comes through.

When I asked Cedric what kind of birthday cake he would like, I was thinking flavour.....he didn't hesitate to say 'a horseshoe'!!    Funny bugger was only joking he told me later, but this is what he got!

Just so everyone can see the 'bushranger' I'm living with!  Lots of grey in there!!

We had two of these little guys living in the bathroom and it became a game of 'where's Wally' trying to find them everyday.  It was common for them to be sitting on top of the shower head.

Amy has spent a lot of time at Myroodah Station as an all-rounder over the last two years and I'm sure they will miss her when she leaves.  Thanks for the laughs Amy xxxx

Bun found me some fresh oysters while I was at Deep Water Point with him.

Got to love those flys....NOT!!

One morning there were some poddies on the loose...just checking everything out.  Pam and Will came along to get them back into their paddock.

I loved the sunrises and sunsets but was only able to photograph the ones on the weekends as I was always busy in the kitchen during the weekday ones.

Callie don't you just love this little guy's overbite? Reminds me a bit of Storm!

Amy names all the poddies and this curious guy is Geronimo

Feeding time with the poddies is always amusing.

I wish I'd had the other lens on the camera for this shot with the helicopter having just taken off for the day to go mustering.

I did a heap of baking prior to Melbourne Cup day as the guys all came in to watch the race and have lunch. Normally they leave after breakfast and don't get back in until tea.  The Thermomix had a huge workout in the kitchen and I was really thankful that it made the trip with us!

We left the station on Wednesday this week and stayed in Broome overnight.  We were lucky enough to win the sweep and pocketed $250!!  So we splurged and stayed at the Mercure in Broome and had a pub meal.  The best bit about the Mercure was the cooked breakfast included....so happy to eat someone else's cooking!

We are in Karratha today and will head to Exmouth tomorrow.  We are hoping the weather will be kind to us for snorkeling for a couple of days but we will just see what happens.   After that, it will be further south to Dongara for Bun to surf for a couple of days.

So, all in all, it's a holiday type trip over the next 10 or so days, leading us home to Adelaide to see the family and meet Kayah for the first time YAY!!!

Cheers
Anne
